Winebar is 1 place where it is probably the hardest place in Singapore to get a table during the weekend. Seth had reserved a table but the waiter msg back @ 6pm saying that reservation is FULL!!!
Anyway i met him earlier @ 9pm to get a table, luckily there was 2 ang mohs ladies who finished their drinks and left around 9.15pm. Usual stuffs we did, play game and loser drink. Left the place around 1.30am due to fatigue and feeling slightly alcohol intoxication. (wat a nice word for drunk) Was rather worried that i would encounter road block on my way home. Pretty lucky that i didnt encountered any.
A weekday drinking nite @ duno wat pub in Boat Quay. I seldom drink on weekday, due to it is a working next day but since the usual gangs feel like drinking, and i don't mind, so i decided to join them.
Met my friend for dinner, it was her birthday, so i decided to give her a treat @ McDonald. Haha, since we didn't know where to go for dinner... :) Had a nice chat with her, about her married life, about her husband, about me, etc etc. Later on, met my friends at McDonald too. Everyone was like quite surprised to see i'm with some lady having dinner especially after what had happened few weeks ago. (Hello, i have my own friends ok!!!... :P :P )
After they have finished eating, went down to the pub, apes was 'sabo' to imitate "Britiney Spears". Seth Ong was asked to sing Beyond's song too. (Powerful vocal!!!).... Played some games, and talked some cock but most important, Beng showed us his "ah beng" skills in knowing girls. Dun play play leh. In the end, he got his number and he tried to ask her out too....
Just hate it when ppl blame you for their problem. Stupid old f***, if your system cannot read the trades from our files. IT IS YOUR FUCKING PROBLEM!!!!.... Dun come screaming at us that your can't read the file, dun come yelling at us that you can't get the trades, i dun give shit about it.... crazy old dude!!!.....
If that is the case, go tell your big boss that your system is a screwed up system which is just like you!, old, useless and out-dated which can't even read a simple text file.

Oh my god, the weather have been HOT HOT HOT!!!!..... Feel like a roast pig when i'm in my room despite my fan is blasting at it top speed, still the heat wave is unstoppable.
Even when i come out straight from the bathroom, droplets of sweat will still form. This heat is unbearable. Wonder how long more this heat is going to stay. I guess it is time for me to pester my parents to install an aircon in the rooms.
Think i go bath after finish with this post. Sticky and sweaty again.
-------------------------------- Work have been busy, problems have been arising, out of nowhere. Just like the network cables, it can go loosen just like that, and twice in a day. There was no problem with it for the past few months, out of a sudden, it just disconnected twice.
My heart is adjusting back to the nicotine-free environment, trying to keep up with the clean air. Come to think of it, i didn't quit smoking. I just downgrade to 2nd hand smoker, afterall my friends are 1st hand smokers. :D
Waiting for something is just torturing. Waiting for ppl, waiting for things to happens, waiting to strike lottery..... I guess i have to wait for another month before you can see the smile on my face. @#$%^&*(_+_)(*&^%$#@!!. Cannot give earlier meh? Anyway, i have also waited for so long, doesn't make any differences if i wait for another month.

I mean a quit smoking campaign. Been on the puff recently due to unforeseen circumstances, in fact, i realised i didn't miss smoking, which is why i'm embarking onto this 2nd campaign. Why 2nd becos, i already quit it once, 2 yrs ago.
During the last 2 weeks, i have colleagues telling me, "Huh, I didn't know you are a smoker....", "You smoked??!!". These are the reactions that i get when they saw ciggies pack in my pocket.
I received a call informing me that I am entitled for a $100 for M1 phones but it is only valid for 2 weeks, which means i have to decide which phone to buy if i intend to change. Wondering if i should change my phone. It have been 2 yrs since i last changed my phone and the current one seem to go 'berserk' occasionally. But there is ain't much selection for me.
I shortlisted a few phones 1. Nokia 3230 - 2yrs retail price : $598 ($498, after deducting the 100bucks) - New phone, but i read some poor review about the phone.
2. Sony Ericsson K700i - 2 yrs retail price : $238 ($138, after deducting the 100bucks) - Launched last yr, but i quite like it, it have most of the features that I wanted.
3. Nokia 6170 - 2yrs retail price : $228 ($128, after deducting the 100bucks) - Flip phone. Nothing exciting about this phone.
Furthermore if i trade in my current phone..... that would be 100bucks cheaper!!!... O_O!! worth to consider....
Last night was HOT!!!..... even if i was sitting there studying, i still sweat!!!.... omg, this is the time where i feel that an aircon would come in handy. Well, i have been living without the aircon for 26yrs, so i dun think it will make any differences.
Monday morning, took me a hard time to wake up. As usual I slept late again last night, due to self studies. As i was waiting for the feeder service bus, saw this cute girl, very cute. Didn't know nearby my place got such cute girl ( Hanny: it is even cuter than then the one we saw at Siglap :P) ... hhhmmmm wonder how old she is?
another lazy sunday again? Kind of.... Woke up in the late morning and decided to catch a movie. [Be Cool]; nice plot, great casts (cos got 1 of my favourite actor : John Travolta). It was funny, some white guy talking like some black guy.....
Conclusion : I realised if you wan to make it big, u really relations, to help u to start things off.. U need contacts to help you pull some strings. That's really true....
So i move on to [Robots], a predictable plot, where a kid robot was inspired by some guy and he go to the city and fulfill his dream. Pretty funny movie.
Conclusion : Live ur dreams, else u will regret it. This only happens in movies, it is not practical in real life.
After the movies, i hit my books again. Wanted to finish 1 chapter before meeting the gang for coffee at Siglap. Cos progress were rather slow, 1 week only finish 3 chapters (I have started 2 weeks ago, so till now i only completed 6 chapters) Here i am, completed my chapter. It wasn't too bad. Think this is going really well for me. At the end of each chapter, there were these questions that would test your understanding on the chapters and most of the time, i can answer them.
Hope to finish the rest of the 5 chapters by this week so that i can start on another book next week.
Spent a nite @ Zouk with the usual suspects to celebrate Apes's birthday. As usual, the same things, same games, same stuffs we do over the last few years and of cos I had to stay away from the drinks during the last few hours as i was driving.
Took some pics at the bridge after chionging. I would usually take PIE home as the Bedok exit at PIE would lead to my place, but i today took ECP instead of PIE. A strong feeling that nearby my place would have a road block setup as it was a 'hot favourite' location.
Just as I expected. A road block was setup and i escaped it. Phew...... A close call huh...... Think i shall not drink and drive next time. Not worth taking the chances.
The gang decided to go Liquid Room for the celebration of Clarice's Birthday and her boyfriend were having a DJ competition too. The place was fine, except the music was exceptionally LOUD!!!.... (my ear still have the monotonous sound), my organs were like vibrating. The place was crowded, small.... and i have to stand for the whole night(My legs are aching).
The music was good..... very good...... The drinks were fine. Didn't drank much as I still have to drive. Went for supper @ MacPherson, reach home only at about 4plus and slept about 5am.
Wanted to go shop today, wash car, buy my season parking. In the end, i slept until 4pm. Wow, it has been a long time since i slept for 11hours. I guess i was really tired.
Finally it is Friday. Just feel like a very long week and finally it is coming to an end. Weekend, is here, haven't been shopping sometime, maybe i shall go for a walk in town tomorrow.
Saturday, is my wash car day again but weather have been crapz man...... Hot in the afternoon, rain in the evening.
I'm really sleepy. I always wanted to sleep early but always cannot do that, end up everyday sure sleep around midnight and the next day feeling tired. Sometime because I watch TV, if not because I study, if not surf net, if not stay out late with my friends.
I have already become a coffee addict, practically 1 day have to drink at least 3 cups. (imagine the caffeine content in my body.... O_o.... and not to mention the tobbacco too.... >.<")
I'm going to choose a date (Apr 30 shall be it) for another attempt to quit. Last time was a successful one, it is time to do it again. No $$$$ to buy ciggies... :P
I got to go sleep. Didn't sleep well last night, I think i just catch a few hours of sleep. So many things in my mind, how to rest.........zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
What a day. As my mom is away for holiday. Only left me and my dad. Usually i would come home at 7pm, so i told my dad that we will settle our dinner separately.
Got home around 9pm, bath, settled down, etc etc, about 10pm, started on my SUN self study again. As it have been 3 days since i last touch the book, i decided to revise on the previous chapters then go on to the next chapter. As i go along, i realised my vision start to blur up. Jeez, am i really tired or my vision is failing on me. For all these years, I have a perfect eyesight, but in recently years, sometime my vision get blur up easily and sometimes i see double vision images.
I guess, i'm just tired. I have finished chapter 4. Still wondering if i should continue with the next chapter.......
Of all time, it rain at lunch time. I was at Maxwell food centre having lunch and suddenly there was a heavy downpour and it was really heavy.
So i was caught in the rain. have to wait till the rain was not that heavy then i could make my way back to office. Lucky we found a sheltered pathway from MND building which linked to Ah Moy food court and then from there, we walked back to office.
Once bitten, twice shy. Next time if i think that it is going to rain. i shall go to some places where i can make my way back to office. If not, i would be stranded outside unable to make it back.
An exercise sunday. Ask the guys out for a game of basketball. I'm now tiring, sleepy which is caused by poor stamina and a lack of exercise. Think back in 1992 when i first went to secondary, I have totally no idea what the hell a basketball look like, what is the game about and how the game was played. I only know soccer.
Eversince started on the game, I start to know more and practice more daily. Everyday, i would come home after school, changed and go down to my house nearby community centre and have a game with my friends. Soon after I was drafted into the school team and I represented them for 1yr(Cos over-age, cannot represent lower division). But i continued to play and joined some team which compete in the Under 18 competition and the youth competition. Was never good in it, just a very average players among my team-mates.
I have stop playing since 2000. After the community centre was tear down and they didn't re-build another court for us. Furthermore, studies, other commitments and follow by enlisting in the Army, so i stopped playing but I still enjoy the game and watching NBA.
Another routine weekend @ Hock Ki Garage. Kev wanted to put back his car front lip, so we made a trip down to Hock Ki Garage. Washed our car there, but soon after, heavy downpour (lucky kev never polished his car.. :P)....

Tonite was a nite to celebrate our friend (Seth/Hanny) for his new found job @ AT&T. Good chance to get something of my mind.....
The usual suspects were there, gary, kev, apes, ivan, karen, beng..... though wasn't in the mood... but at least i enjoyed the company with them and the fun and of cos the babes there. wwwoooooo.. :P
Just another routine nite @ zouk. Used to be a larger group, now, left with a handful of them. Come to think of it. I have been a loyal patron of Zouk since 1999 and it have been 6 good years. Since i started off with Mambo nite every wed, then switching to fri and sat. Good memories and bad memories of the place.
Good memories - the ppls, that particular person who have been chionging with me for the 6 good years and those drunk nites which some of us did stupid things there.
Bad memories - ???.. not much though. can't think of any now.
As some of you are awared i have the intention to take up Sun Solaris (UNIX), so i have been reading up on Sun Solaris for the past few days. A slow start i can say, i finished 3 chapters and I am pretty happy with the progress, given my brain have not been picking knowledge from textbooks for a long time and so far i can save i have absorbed 75%. So today i gave myself a break, started on a new serial which i just copied from SETH.(It is actually hanny, :D :D)
I wonder if it is aired in Singapore, maybe it is just that i'm not aware of. Anyway the serial is about a plane crash in a mystery island, and each have a mystery past. The tree falls and weird sounds coming in the forest every night. Each person background will slowly unfold as each episodes goes by. Pretty exciting. Just finished 3 episodes today, shall continue someother day. Cos tomorrow is a study day again.
Yes. A moment of triumph for the Red Army. Liverpool is in to the semi final of the Champion League. No one would have expected that to happen, especially with a whole list of players getting injured and the poor domestic results they were getting.
Furthermore this game were under constant pressure from the Juventus fans becos of the Heysel incident which cause 39 Italian lives. Sad memories for both teams.
Liverpool have emerged the stronger team this time. Next match will be away domestic rival, Chelsea. Time for the League Cup Final revenge where they lost 2-1 in extra time.
I will have faith in them again as they have done the impossible again. Being an underdog team and reaching the semi final.

yesterday.... my project manager took urgent leave, that stupid bitch oso took urgent leave... coincidental??? I dun think so,..... Everything left to me, nothing much were said, off he goes. Manager huh.... just because he is my boss's friend...
So today I took a break. I took urgent leave, hehs... :D shall not bother about work today. Not even a single thought on it. Anything about work, leave it for tomorrow. :D
What a hot day today!!..... I just finished bathing and i'm perspiring again. Slept till 1pm (long long time didn't sleep til this kind of timing liao), nua around for an hour before i start studying. Yes, you heard me, studying.
3 books for me to prepare for. 1. Sun Certified System Administrator for SOLARIS 8 - Study Guide 2. Inside SOLARIS 9 3. System Administration Guide (3 Volumes)
The last 2 are 700+ pages books. Look like i have to start early so that i can understand SOLARIS OS better and i can pick up easier. I intend to study 1 chapter every 1-2 days before i enroll the course. Course duration is 10 days, very short course but come with a high cost. Hopefully passed liao, salary oso higher... :D :D

How do u define success? What is the definition of successful? Do you need to hang out with successful ppls in order to be successful?
1. Does getting a pay cheque of 5K every month is considered successful? 2. Driving a BMW 6 Series, Living in a condo are considered successful? 3. Living the rest of your life with your loves ones considered successful? 4. Is achieving your goals in life considered successful too?
I think all the above is considered successful in some ways. Depending on what do you wish to achieved.
If you think again, 1. Every month 5K pay cheque, but you incurred a lot of debts from the Bank. Is this successful? 2. Drive a BMW, Living in a condo, but every month, all your earnings goes to pay the car and the condo. Successful? 3. Living with your loved ones but in a small house. Successful? 4. You achieved all your goals in life, but you realised that you are already 45yrs old and lonely. Successful?
I duno but sometime something on the surface look like they are successful, but in actual facts they are struggling with their life. Some look like they are struggling but in actual facts they are the ones who are successful. Which of the above do you choose? I choose the latter one.

Well, i have. I realised i no longer able to trust someone that easily anymore. No matter how close they are, i just think that i should be wary of their actions. Of cos not those who have been with me for years, even so, i'm afraid i have to beware of certain ppls.
Things are kind of the same. I just broke off with someone who is dearly to me. Not that I want to but I guess i have to. So far, i have been taking it quite well. anyway i have a lot of things to keep me occupied with. My car, my work, my studies and of cos, my friends. Work has been torturing especially that idiotic project manager is getting on my nerves but somehow i see a bit of progress with the on-going tasks.

I am brought up a way where i should earn every single cents on my own. No using someone below me to earn $$$$. They always say, "The job you are currently working is also MLM". True in a way, not true in another way.
True : There is a certain level in a coy Not True : Promotions is based on hardwork and capabilities.
Although $$$ is very impt, but i feel there is something in life which is more impt. Self conscience & moral values. Nothing in life come easy. $$$, status, assets, all these need hardworks.

I usually dun watch American Idol, but today there wasn't much programs to watch and after American Idol is the 9.30 News, so i might as well watch this and wait for the news after this..... Oh oh..... to my astonishment..... I was kinda impressed with one of the contestant - Constantine. Nah.. not the John Constantine from the movie but just a person with a similar name. :D
He have a power vocal, very power vocal. I heard he is kinda like a rocker but this time he sang something like jazz, blue.... something different i think. Wow.... impressive!!!.... Wonder if he will win? the rest.... .average... average.... :P
remember i was fined with 2 parking offences each costing me $6 buck. Yesterday went to pay the fines. They only charged me for 1 ticket, but the other one was not in their records.
i was still thinking, wah... so good... onli charge me for 1 ticket. So i went home, but on my way home, i suddenly remember my good friend - Hanny. he committed a traffic offence a few years back, den after a few years ,the police came and arrest him and he was slapped with a few hundred dollars fine.
so after serious consideration, i went to pay my fine again. since it is just 6 bucks, might as well pay it now, if not after a few years, i got a heavier fine. Not worth taking the chances.....
Last Sat i went back to office to do some testing on a new product lauching on SGX for electronic trading. Parked at the public carpark. I thought raining heavily, the parking attendant won't be so "on the ball", so i put 1 hour. Suay suay, 1 hour later rain stop.... kenna 1 summon!. ^%$%$%#&*()*...
Finished testing at 12:15, went lunch with my colleagues, went to my car and drop off some stuffs. So i put another coupon for another hour.... which supposed to expire at 13:20. but i'm so blur thought that the time was 11:15. Happily, went makan, come back, another summon!!!..... ^&%$%$#%$()*
nothing to say when it come to fines. Singapore government is the most efficient!!!....
TMD..... my reservist unit is really damn 'eng' lor. Keep calling us back. First it was 2 weeks, den follow by 3 days. Now they wan us to go back for 3 weeks. 3 weeks of intensive lessons again. This suckz!!... 3 weeks of holiday i dun mind but 3 weeks of facing that old hag(my course commander)!!! This is crazy.

During the course debrief, we feedbacked to them 3 weeks is too long liao, they oso dun listen. What is the use of the debrief, feedbacked to them for wat, might as well dun have the course debrief.
that is the problem with SAF, always wan to act professional, but in the end, do things oso half f***. professionalism my a$$.....
