To change or not to change???....

I have work with this coy for 2 yrs and i think it is about time that I hop.... I started out as a Helpdesk. Yes, listening to phone call and from last yr, I have kinda work on projects, which i'm kind of interested in now. The bad thing is I have a f*** up Project Manager. 1 with ZERO technical knowledge on I.T. and he still can say. It is not something i need to know. WTF!!!.... This is so demoralising, worse of all, he was an ex-colleague of my boss. See, friend friend, this coy is all about relations. U got relation with some high f***** in the coy, u will make it big, if not you will just like a lowly a$$ who keep working while those up there, harvest your achievements.

    Factors that i should stay
    1. Great colleagues
    2. Good location
    3. Good Benefits
    4. Wonderful bonus
    5. Jobscope is something i like

    Factors that I should leave
    1. Lazy Superiors
    2. Low basic pay
    3. Efforts & contributions being overlooked.

Anyway I can't throw the letter now, as it is about time to get my variable bonus. So i have to bear with these until i get it. #$%&^*&&^%%#

    Wisdom tooth..... Ouch!!!.....

please dun be misunderstood, i'm not the one who got my wisdom tooth surgery. It was my girlfriend. Almost a 2hr surgery and a costly one. The surgery started from 10plus till almost 1 am. Haha, sound like some 24hr dentist.

    Left tooth : $450, Right tooth : $500, Medication : $60, X-Ray : $75.

Total : $1085. Costly right? Furthermore still got to bear with the pain for a week, swollen lower jaw, no solid food. Poor thing.

Anyway she is getting better liao, and the doc gave her 15days of MC!!... a lot right? Damn, how i wish i have that. so I dun have to face those m***** f*****s.

Rainy days are back......麻辣火锅.... Car FC

Singapore have been showered rain for the last 2 days. Look like I have to clean the car in the next few days again.

Went to 麻辣火锅 in Bugis (Liang Seah St). Per head $16.80++
    Food variety : Normal
    Service : Normal
    Ambience : Bad

The place is opened by Chinese from China, therefore alot of Mainland Chinese go and patronize them. Maybe that place give them a feeling being back in China. ?? but I think there are better ones like 天天火锅 or 崇庆火锅 which i have not tried before.

After monitoring my fuel comsumptions for the past 1 week+, conclusion : 1L : 12Km. Heard that this is pretty good mileage. Hoping to improve even more.

    nothing much....

nothing much have happened for the past 2 days. Went for Metro Warehouse sale, lotsa ladies stuffs and then, it was time to wash my "wife" again. Birds just like to shit!!!.... Haven't finished washing, kanna bird shits again. Immediately, i move to a better parking lot.

At night been to a wedding dinner opp. SAFTI MI. Long journey, well no choice, my parents had to attend it, cos it is one of my close relatives's daughter. So I had to go with them so that i can provide transport for them. For those who doesn't know where is SAFTI MI, it is almost to the other end of Singapore. :P

I'm about to finish Last Exile, nice plot..... Should be able to finish by today. :D

    2. had a meeting with my vendor. Slammed some complaints right in their face.
    3. started on my "Last Exile" anime. Pretty interesting. Finished 10 episodes.
    4. Missed 1st prize and 3rd prize for Wed, 4D draw. I bought 9049 and 5624, 1st prize drew 9044, 3rd prize drew 6524. Arrrggghhh!!!.... nevermind, miss this time, shall strike bigger the next time.

    On the road.....

After i got my car, i spent some time on the road over the weekend. I realised something. Singapore drivers are really impatient and have bad habits.

    1. Cut into your lane without signal. (Still think he have to rights to do that)
    2. Road hogging. (As if his grandfather own the road)
    3. Tail gateing. (Come until so close, trying to find out what is in my car is it?)
    4. Taxis are really pain in the a$$. (Stop wherever they wan, same goes for the passenger)
    5. JB's bikes are really dangerous (They look like ninja bikes, out of nowhere they appeared, then the next moment, they disappear again)

Sunday, I gave my "wife" a shower, :P. Sweat like hell after i completed washing but end result - satisfactory. Soon, i will take a picture of "her" again after washing. I think now I'll wash once a week, after some time, twice a week, then once a month. haha......

    Bad patch.....

Been in a bad state of mind. Things haven't been too well.
    1. Work was torturing, my colleague is going away for operation and I have to stand in for him again. My presence have always been overlooked. My vendor is driving me nuts. I think i know more about their products more than she does. Damn it!!.... I think i can take over her job, only that she speak French. I think i can do that too.
    2. Personal life have been getting a hell of a bumpy ride. I just got my car and bills and bills are start coming in....
    3. Dun even bring up my love life. Nothing great to mention about it.

Confidence level is in record low, it's probably worse than the US Dollar. Health is starting to deteriorate. I noe, i noe, they are bad for the lungs. I will throw them away once the sun come shining again. Furthermore, they are freaking expensive.

Hope the sun will come shining again, things will be better.

    Paintball....... Ouch!!!..... i'm out!!!!.....

    Entry fee - $5
Rental fees for Gear and Mask - $10
    200 paintball rounds - $40
Getting your first shot in the face by your opponents- PRICELESS.

Total, I got "shot"6 times, twice on my arm, 1 on my thigh, 1 in my face, twice on my palm. How many I took out, i'm not so sure. I'm sure i took out at least 5 persons.

That kind of sum up my paintball session today. Venue of the Paintball site is at Orchid Country Club. The whole place is rather small but it is enough to shack you out with the running and dodging. Size is about 2.5 basketball courts with oil drums, barricades, wooden planks as covers.
It is pretty fun though. Running around, dodging here and there. Aiming for targets, grabbing objections box back to base. That is hell of a workout. I was catching for breath during the 3rd & 4th rounds. After that, it was pretty ok after some rest. We took some pics but it is with Apes, so til then, stay tuned for the pics.

    Bowling treat from HANNY!!!.....

Went bowling with Hanny & co. at Marina Square. The waiting list was so lllloooonnngggggg!!!!... There was like 18persons in front of us waiting for a lane too. Finally, it was our turn. Took 2 lanes, cos there were like 11 of us. So we split into 2 teams and challenge during the 2nd game. It was a close fight. Team A (Ivan, Hanny, Beng, Dave and Karen) was pretty good, getting a couples of "STRIKE" and "SPARE"..... my team (Gary, Amy, Bran, Apes, Kev and myself) were all average players so we managed to keep up.

Until the very last moment, it was up to gary to get at least 5 pins down.... which will tied the game! In the end, he got ONLI 4!!!..... so the final score. Team A - 470, Team B - 469. That's how we lost the game.

    SURPRISE!!!!

Today is our good friend: Hanny's birthday. We decided to give him a little surprise. All of us decided to bluff him saying that we have our own plans, so we won't be spending the night out with him.

So we met at Zouk Winebar and order drinks for him. This is to welcome him. So the whole gang was waiting for him and someone took him there bluffing him that they will drop by Zouk for a while.

Haha.... shocked and surprised!!.... I believed he had a good time there. Haha.... this was the 2nd well co-ordinated surprise that we have planned for our friends' birthday. Many more will come.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Hanny!!!!......
    May your wishes come true.

Maybe it was all planned by GOD.....

Sometime do u realised that no matter how hard u tried and how well u do it. Things just dun turn out the way u wanted them to be. Weird huh? Maybe this is retribution. 8years ago, I was the sinner. Eversince, it has kinda becoming that I am the victim now. Look like it has returned to haunt me once again. I have survived twice, i'm sure i should be able to survive 1 more time.

The sun will still rise from the East and set in the West.
The birds will still hum and sing.
There will be still high tide and low tide.
There will still be a Andy standing firm at some corners of Singapore........

No smoking here.... no smoking there....... Singapore : Smoke Free City???

SINGAPORE : It's "No Smoking" for more public places from October 1.

Smokers won't be able to light up at bus shelters and interchanges, public toilets, swimming complexes and stadiums and community clubs.

And details of a ban at entertainment outlets will be out by yearend.

That's not all - a decision on banning smoking at hawker centres and coffeeshops - will be made by the end of the year.

Second-hand smoke is a silent killer, said MPs, who wanted more protection for non-smokers.

Ms Indranee Rajah, MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC, said: "The problem with smoking is that it does not just affect the smoker, the second-hand cigarette smoke puts non-smokers at risk as well.

"Smoking is a tenacious and insidious form of chemical poisoning, it kills more slowly than other chemicals but no less surely. I therefore urge the minister to ban smoking at public places."

And the immediate reply was an extension of the ban to bus shelters and interchanges and other public areas.

Entertainment outlets can also expect this too, and there is strong public support for either a complete or partial ban.

Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Environment & Water Resources Minister, said: "The danger is higher in entertainment outlets. In fact, a study in the journal of the American Medical Association has shown that the level of second-hand smoke in pubs and bars can be up to
450 percent higher than in homes with at least one smoker.

"In the long-run, my ministry's intent is to move towards allowing smoking only in private premises, wide-open spaces and designated smoking areas."

At the same time, Dr Yaacob said the Ministry recognises operators' concerns that the ban could affect business, so the National Environment Agency will hold consultations to address these concerns.

As for extending the ban to hawker centres and coffeeshops, Dr Yaacob said public feedback is supportive of a partial ban as a first step.

The ministry will work with the relevant hawkers and coffee shops associations and make a decision by year end. -

    Back @ Work.......

This ended my spell of long break. First it was my reservist back in Nov last year, then come my bangkok holiday in Dec 2004 which kind of ended with a "bang" for my group of friends. After that, it was the Chinese New Year holiday:- small damage to my wallet but it was cured with the red packets money that was given to me. After that, it was pre-reservist leave and post-reservist leave.

These few long breaks has ended so meaning my leave have all been cleared! 1 final day; this friday. I will go on leave again to finish it. After that, it will be all working days again.

A busy day back in office, but i enjoyed it. At least it is better than lazing around at home, watching tv, surfing net, which is totally unproductive at all. Just completed my peer appraisals, hope my evaluation by my peer isn't that bad.

Anyway, it kinda late rite now. Ciaoz......

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events

Went to watch this movie with my GF. Out of 10, i would give it 6, as i was expecting something better since it was a Jim Carrey's movie. Still i enjoyed it.

It is about 3 talented children who parents was killed in a fire on their mansion. So Jim was supposed to be their guardian who was eyeing on the children's inherited wealth which the kids eventually found out his motive, which then led to several unfortunate events that led to their parents' friends death.

In the end, the kid managed to find out what caused the fire that killed their parents and Jim was put thru what the children had went thru. THE END.

For those who still wish to watch it, you guys can wait for the DVD, which i think it is more worth it.

    Nismo Z-Tune R34

Produced by Aoshima, built with Tamiya paints and Gunze SuperGloss. This took me a few months, started in November 2004 til today. Added seatbelts only, due to work and other commitments. This was left on the shelf for some time. Colour should be Silver but I like it this way.

The seatbelts. Aftermarket parts. Pretty costly but look pretty realistic too.

    Completed result.

To build or not to build

The debate for having a integrated resort with a casino has once again brought back up in Parliament. The public opinions is divided into 2. Those who agreed to have 1 and those who don't agreed. I'm belong to neither group, anyway I strongly believe having 1 will boost our economy and creating more jobs for our fellow Singaporeans BUT will there be a increase in the social problems? I don't know. Many foresee there will be.

As the figures showed, $1 - 2 billions were spent on oversea gambling. (Wow, that is alot of $$$)
Look at the Ang Pao TOTO, so many ppl queued hoping to strike big. Every weekend, we will see ppl queuing to buy 4D.

Anyway the Government will decide to build or not to build in April, till tend we shall wait for the decision.

    Pros
    1. More tourists to Singapore
    2. More activities in Singapore
    3. Boost in Singapore economy
    4. Job creation

    Cons
    1. Increase in social problems (broken families, gambling addiction)
    2. Tanish of the Singapore Brand?

The above comments are all based on my personal point of views on the integrated casino.

    Drought in Singapore........

After a heavy downpour on March 3, the weather had gone back to the torturing heat once again. The moment you step out of the shower, you feel drops of sweat forming again on your forehead, your face, on every part of your skins. Making you feel like having a shower again.

Maybe that the reason why our Mr Beng and Hanny always sleep in the afternoon, to escape from heat while they prepare their activities during the wee hours...

    WTF!!!!.....

As i met my friends for lunch today, on my way home, i passed by a mosque. An amazing sight. Almost 50 over cars were illegally parked outside the mosque. Unbelievable and mind you, they are parked along the side of the road until 1 lane is passable. Why aren't the police doing anything? Why are those URA or HDB carpark aunties?

I mean they are the natives of S'pore and they get such privileges... but I remembered they were still complaining about not occupying the top jobs and blah blah blah. Worse still, some even want their children to turn up in school with their "tudung"!!!.... Jeez... they get free education and subsidized educations, illegal parking outside their religious grounds and they are making noise!!!.... Crapz...

Just dun understand these ppls... anyway. It is not my f****** problems. Just 2 cents worths of comments here....

    Outprocessed.....

Finally I out processed today.... which mean the end of my ICT. As usual, there is an end of course debrief which I find it pretty pointless.

Anyway, on my way home I met my BMT buddy. Long lost buddy of mine. First thing he said to me.

    "Oei, you signed on ah?"

Haha. Caught up some old times with him and it was time for him to alight. I wonder how's the rest of my section mates are doing? Haven't seen them since I was posted out of the island.

Anyway, I shall continue to 'nua' on Thurs and Friday. Maybe jio hanny out for coffee and I get to slap him if he smoked more than 2 sticks of ciggies... hahaha....
